I’m Kevin Skinner, and I’m honored to introduce myself as the new President and CEO of Salal Credit Union.
First, I want to take a moment to thank Russell Rosendal, who retired at the end of December after 17 years with Salal—including the past 13 years as Salal’s CEO. Russ’s leadership helped shape Salal into the trusted, mission-driven credit union it is today. We’re grateful for his service and the strong foundation he’s built for Salal’s next chapter.
As I step into this role, I’m committed to listening, learning, and carrying forward Salal’s mission of helping individuals and families remove financial obstacles and grow their financial well-being.
I’ve spent more than 25 years in financial services, but what drew me to Salal wasn’t just its track record. It was the people, the values, and the core belief that when we work together, we can build something better for everyone.
I’ve built my career around helping people achieve their goals—whether that’s buying a first home, paying off debt, or simply finding financial peace of mind. I’ve also spent years advocating for affordable housing and inclusive lending. I believe that credit unions like Salal play a critical role in creating access and unlocking opportunity.
In the coming months, I’ll continue spending time in our branches, meeting with staff, and talking with members to understand how we can best serve you. My goal is to ensure we’re building on what makes Salal such a dynamic and impactful community financial institution.
