Salal Business Services is proud to partner once again with the Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA) to convene industry leaders for an important conversation about the future of Washington’s cannabis market.
On March 28, Salal will co-host a Seattle Leadership Circle at Salal Credit Union’s headquarters, bringing together a small group of operators and ecosystem leaders for a candid, solutions-focused roundtable. The event is intentionally designed to be intimate, encouraging open discussion and meaningful collaboration around the opportunities and challenges shaping the cannabis industry today.
A Conversation Focused on Progress
The Leadership Circle will explore several critical topics impacting the industry in Washington and beyond, including:
- Social equity implementation
- Cross-sector coordination
- Long-term ecosystem sustainability
The gathering is being organized in collaboration with local leaders Jessica Pichardo, Carlondo Mitchell, and Charlotte Brathwaite, as well as the MCBA team.
By creating space for thoughtful dialogue between operators, advocates, and financial partners, the event aims to surface ideas and perspectives that help move the industry forward.
Continuing a Shared Commitment
This Leadership Circle builds on Salal’s ongoing partnership with MCBA. 2026 marks the second year in a row that Salal Business Services has partnered with the organization.
Last year, Salal hosted the Seattle stop of MCBA’s national Equity Workshop Tour, which brought together entrepreneurs, advocates, and industry stakeholders to explore practical strategies for advancing social equity in cannabis.
Both events reflect a shared commitment to expanding access, supporting responsible industry growth, and ensuring that cannabis entrepreneurs—especially those from communities disproportionately impacted by past policies—have access to the financial tools and resources they need to succeed.
Supporting Cannabis Businesses with Financial Access
For more than a decade, Salal Business Services has supported cannabis businesses with specialized banking solutions designed to meet the unique needs of this regulated industry.
Salal’s cannabis banking program provides compliant, transparent financial services that help businesses operate more efficiently—while reducing risks associated with cash-heavy operations. In addition, Salal has developed programs to support social equity cannabis operators, helping create pathways to financial stability and long-term growth.
By partnering with organizations like MCBA and hosting conversations such as the Leadership Circle, Salal continues to listen, learn, and collaborate with the entrepreneurs shaping the future of the industry.
Requesting an Invitation
The Seattle Leadership Circle is an invite-only event, and space is intentionally limited to support a focused and productive discussion.
Industry professionals who are interested in participating may request an invitation by emailing info@minoritycannabis.org and including:
- How they heard about the event
- Why the conversation is relevant to their work
- Any questions they’d like the group to explore
Participants will be selected to help ensure a thoughtful mix of perspectives and expertise.
Building a Stronger Cannabis Ecosystem
Events like the Seattle Leadership Circle reflect Salal’s broader Power in Together mission: helping businesses navigate complexity, build resilience, and grow with confidence.
By bringing together leaders across the cannabis ecosystem, Salal and MCBA aim to foster conversations that lead to practical solutions—strengthening the industry today while helping shape a more equitable future.
