As an immigrant and naturalized U.S. citizen, I deeply understand that no two financial journeys are the same. My lived experience allows me to bring a unique perspective to overcoming barriers and supporting historically underserved communities.
More than a decade ago, I was a pioneer in the Southern Oregon cannabis industry—an experience that profoundly shaped my understanding of what it truly means to be underbanked. Operating in a highly regulated and stigmatized industry, I experienced firsthand how difficult it was to access even the most basic business services, including banking and insurance. Navigating those obstacles required persistence, advocacy, and creativity, and it left a lasting impression on me. I am grateful for those lessons and remain deeply committed to supporting and advocating for the cannabis community today.
With over 25 years of experience in lending, I blend professional expertise with personal insight to better serve our members. I still remember the excitement of purchasing my first home, the stress of navigating financial uncertainty during a medical event, and the gratitude I felt toward the professionals who helped guide my family through those moments. Those experiences continue to inform how I show up for the people I serve.
Outside of work, I’m an avid sailor. Sailing has taught me that life—much like navigating open water—requires adaptability and thoughtful course corrections to reach your destination. That philosophy shapes every interaction I have with our members.
