This year has presented us all with significant challenges as we’ve seen our lives disrupted by this global pandemic. We thank you again for your patience and understanding as we’ve worked hard to safely adapt how we serve you during this public health crisis.
Safety Remains Our Top Priority
We continue to balance the safety of members and staff with our ability to provide convenient access to the banking services you count on. Unfortunately, this means continuing to limit the number of people in our branches. We know some other financial institutions made the decision to go back to more normal operations. We also know some banks are closing branches or operating on other modified systems. We personally have listened closely to the feedback we’re getting from members and understand these limits on in-branch visits have been difficult for some of you.
We hear you and eagerly await the day when we can once again serve more members in person. In the coming months, we’ll be closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and following the guidance of the health care community. With everyone doing their part to fight the spread of the virus and a vaccine becoming available during the winter and spring, we are hopeful that we’ll be able to expand access to branches.

And if you ever need help, our Virtual Branch call center team is available to personally assist you at any time, 24/7.

We recognize that the next few months may be difficult for some of our members. If you have been financially impacted by COVID-19, we’re here to help. We encourage you to visit our Emergency Relief Program page to learn more about the resources that may be available to you. We also have other financial tools, such as home and auto refinancing, home equity solutions, and a promotional 0% Visa balance transfer offer—all designed to help our members lower monthly bills and pay down debt affordably.
Supporting Our Communities
Now is more important than ever for us to make good on the credit union movement’s philosophy of “people helping people.” To assist local families in need during this holiday season, Salal will be donating $10,000 to Northwest Harvest to fight the growing issue of food insecurity in our region. By the end of the year, we will have given $400,000 in support of many vital organizations and causes in the communities our members live and work. Members like you have made this giving opportunity a reality.
